The LoronTM
was developed by Dr. Rose’s late
father, Dr. Philip R. Loria. Lines of
our face develop over time as
reminders of the common facial
expressions we make. These actually
develop a connection or bounding down
to the tissue deep in the skin. The
LoronTM
procedure uses a teeny tiny scalpel to
penetrate the skin under these lines
or scars to loosen this connection.
The released skin floats up to the
surface and microbleeding fills this
space. Sometimes we will use fillers
to more permanently fill this space.
Although the bleeding results in a
bruise that usually lasts for 5-20
days, as it resolves collagen is
formed naturally by the body to fill
in the bruise. This can be used for
any defect or depressed scar including
acne scarring. It is especially
effective for those lines that radiate
from the lips around the mouth.
Sometimes to smooth the surface, laser
is used 4-6 weeks later for an even
better effect! Please schedule your
free consultation with Dr. Rose, if
you are interested in learning more
about the LoronTM.
